Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: February 13, 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern the luxury maritime services provided by Coconut Yachts. By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

A. Charter Terms

  • Booking Confirmation: A charter is confirmed only upon receipt of 100% full payment and a signed charter agreement. An enquiry does not constitute a booking.

  • Payment: We accept payment via Bank Transfer, PayNow, and Major Credit Cards (subject to a 3.5% processing fee).

  • Security Deposit: A refundable security deposit (SGD 500 – SGD 1,000 depending on vessel) may be required. This is refunded within 3 business days post-charter, pending damage inspection.

  • Lateness: The yacht will wait for a maximum of 30 minutes. The charter period begins and ends at the agreed times; no extensions are granted for late guest arrivals.

  • Liability: Coconut Yachts is not liable for personal injury, loss of property, or rhythmic sea-sickness. All guests are encouraged to possess valid personal leisure insurance.

  • Prohibited Behavior: Illegal substances, firearms, and unruly conduct will result in immediate termination of the charter by the Captain without refund.

B. Servicing & Maintenance Terms

  • Quotation Validity: All technical quotations are valid for 30 days.

  • Scope Changes: Additional repairs discovered during servicing will be quoted separately and require written approval to proceed.

  • Payment Schedule: For projects over SGD 2,000, a 50% deposit is required to commence work, with the balance due upon completion/vessel release.

C. Brokerage Terms

  • Representation: We act as professional intermediaries. We present vessel information in good faith but do not warrant accuracy. Buyers must conduct an independent professional survey.

  • Commission: Standard brokerage commission is 5-10% of the final sale price, as detailed in the individual Listing Agreement.

Weather Policy (The Singapore Standard)

The Captain makes the final safety decision on the morning of the charter based on NEA (National Environment Agency) real-time data.

  • Light Rain: Charters proceed. Our yachts feature indoor salons and sheltered decks.

  • Heavy Rain / Lightning Warning: If the Captain deems conditions unsafe at the time of departure:

    1. The start time may be delayed by up to 2 hours.

    2. If unsafe conditions persist, the charter will be rescheduled to a date within 3 months.

    3. No cash refunds are issued for weather. Rescheduling is the standard maritime remedy.

  • Weather During Charter: If a storm develops while at sea, the Captain may return to the marina early for safety. No pro-rata refunds are issued for shortened charters due to safe navigation requirements.
